I am an English to German translator and localisation project manager with a translation degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne, Germany, and with more than 20 years of localisation experience. I am also a Chartered Linguist and a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL).

Projects I have worked on
I have worked on a wide variety of projects and materials, including the transcreation of straplines, translation of marketing content, non-fiction books, web content, user manuals, on-line help, software strings, audio scripts etc. from English to German and German to English, and I have managed complex translation projects for up to 60 target languages.

Originally from the far north of Germany, I now live and work in Oxfordshire, UK. When I am not busy translating I can usually be found in a glider – either as an instructor and cross-country coach at my gliding club or competing as a member of the British Gliding Team – most recently at the Women’s World Gliding Championships at Lake Keepit, Australia.
